Reduced to a trio after the departure of Kayakki in August 2010, Pinky Doodle Poodle have returned to the studio and released a new work whose songs were recorded in the rough conditions of a live. Uncluttered arrangements, sharp sounds, foggy audio feedback, submixed vocals; the least we can say about this mini-album is PDP has put away the pop sander and laid bare the ruggedness of a music carved by broad strikes of a hammer. A perfect glimpse of the group in concert. The poodles are decidedly bellicose nowadays. 20/03/2011
